We are all about wild caught fish. Our modern fleet of fishing vessels, state of the art facilities and our well trained fishermen are experts in mastering the wild waves and ice cold waters. Everyday we work hard to bring in the amazing Atlantic cod, haddock, saithe and their friends from the North Atlantic Ocean surrounding Iceland for you to enjoy.
Most of our fish is caught within 200 nautical miles off the shores of Iceland. The cold temperatures make the fish grow slower. That gives them time to develop great meat structure and an exceptionally good taste.
One can’t talk about fish without mentioning the health benefits. The science is clear on this, fish is by far the healthiest animal protein.
The levels of minerals and vitamins are high – and very beneficial to our brain, heart and vascular system.
Did you know that Icelanders are among the healthiest and longest living people in the world? We – and many scientists – think it has something to do with the long history of including fish in the daily diet.
We understand our customer’s need for safe food of exceptional quality. That’s why we use a track and trace system to monitor the journey of the fish. The origin of the raw materials being processed is recorded and linked to the finished product so we can trace shipments to the original raw material. In that way we can ensure the quality of the supply chain. It is also worth mentioning that our logistics is world class and the distance to our main markets is short.
